My Covelo Page
AKA: Round Valley
Covelo is up in Northern California. It is about 12 miles north of Willits and then 30 miles east, in from Hwy 101. We have many ranches up here and an Indian Reservation. Most "tourists" are brought in by Hunting during the fall. Anyway here are a couple of pictures taken by June Marie. Postcards of these are availible at June Marie's Gifts in Covelo, they are also copywrited. They are much higher quality than a simple computer scan and definatly worth acquiring.
Of course, I will keep trying to scan higher quality takes of these until I can successfully get a good scan. I am having to scan these at school and e-mail them home. Hey, give me credit the first time I tried to do the graphics conversion I ended up with a purple sky and blue poppies.

This is probably one of the most well known "Covelo Picture". It is a field near the middle of the valley looking at Anthony Peak or "Hatchet Mountain". Look carefully and you can see the hatchet in the snow.
This is probably the second most famous photo. This is looking down into the valley from "Inspiration Point".
